Handmade Crochet Creations

[subscribe2]Have you ever gone to a craft fair or maybe an outdoor market and purchased something handmade by either knitting or crochet? If so what kind of items do you like to purchase?

Would it be a hat, scarves, or other accessories, crochet dishcloth, tea towels? When you admire someone’s handcrafted item is it with a respect of what that person can do or is it sheesh that’s expensive?

The reason I ask is that I have often wondered what others think when they look at the wares and goods you see at these venues. I like a good bargain as much as anyone but I also have a sense of awe when I see someone who truly loves to create and the passion they show is incredible in their workmanship.

The profit that a vendor of handmade goods is very little and I like to think that whomever purchases the items created will truly enjoy it. Ultimately that is why I create and what is the most satisfying to me. Please keep this in mind when you find that great deal at these venues as it’s the love of the process and not profit that drives the handmade creator to create.

Have a wonderful weekend all!!!!

Favorite Types of Projects

[subscribe2]What are your favorite types of projects? Mine is many but if I had to choose only 1 it would be making a shawl to wear with an outfit I have planned for a special event.

I love to make hats, scarves, cowls and of course shawls. There is something very dramatic about a beautiful hand-made shawl. Here are a few pictures of the shawls I have made.
